Newport Montessori is a small, private Montessori program serving children approximately three to six years of age. We opened in September of 1999, are located in a conveniently situated facility in Middletown, and are licensed by the RI Department of Education and certified by the both the State of Rhode Island and Association Montessori International (AMI).
The director, Mrs. Kate Voute Wright, is an experienced Montessori teacher and is certified by the AMI with an internationally recognized diploma. AMI is the oldest authority on Montessori education worldwide. Newport Montessori’s materials, methodology, and philosophy are consistent with those set by the Association Montessori International, and the American Montessori Society (AMS).
Program hours are as follows:
Half day: 9am – 12:00pm
Full day: 9am – 2:00pm
